How to find a remote web3 job
Remote web3 jobs are about one in three: on Jobs Web3, in October 2026, 916 of 2,462 open listings are remote, at 152 of 204 companies. The catch is location: seven in ten of those remote listings name a country, so "remote" usually means within a country or region, not from anywhere.
Are there many remote web3 jobs?
37% of the 2,462 open listings are remote. The full split:
- remote: 916 (37%);
- on-site: 1,171 (48%);
- hybrid: 375 (15%).
The remote share of new jobs fell last week: 169 of the 561 listings posted in the last 7 days are remote (30%), against 173 of 428 (40%) the week before. Two weeks are not a trend.
Coinbase alone posts 168 remote listings, 18% of the total, and describes itself in all of them as a "remote-first, but not remote-only company". The next largest are TRM Labs (52), OKX (47), Bybit (43) and Blockchain.com (32).
Can you work remotely in web3 from any country?
Sometimes, but check every listing. Of the 916 remote listings:
| Location line | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Names one country | 639 | 70% |
| Names no country ("Remote", "Worldwide") | 236 | 26% |
| Names several countries | 41 | 4% |
Among those tied to one country, the United States leads by far with 365, followed by the United Kingdom (54), Canada (25), the United Arab Emirates (24) and Singapore (22). The most common location text is "Remote - USA" (122 listings).
A listing with no country is not proof that anyone can apply: many descriptions add the limit further down. At least 13 say the person must be located or based in a given place and at least 14 ask for the right to work in a country; both counts are a floor, since we matched only exact phrases.
126 remote descriptions also mention a time zone, UTC, GMT or overlapping hours.
Which web3 jobs are most often remote?
By tag, among areas with at least 40 listings:

Lead and senior roles are remote about 43% of the time, mid-level 35%, junior 32% and internships only 8%.
No single remote job title appears more than 10 times. Product manager, data engineer, software engineer, backend engineer, data analyst, accountant and product designer are the most frequent.
How to find a remote web3 job
Filter by remote, then read the location line. The remote web3 jobs page lists every remote role on the board. Open each one and look for a country, a region or a time zone before you write a cover letter.
Search within your own country first. If you live in the United States, the United Kingdom or Canada, most remote listings already include you. Elsewhere, look for "Worldwide", region names such as "Europe" or "Asia", or listings that name several countries. You can also browse all web3 jobs and set the location filter to your country.
Pick the roles where remote is common. Backend and other engineering roles, and business development, are remote more often than product, operations or sales.
Ask about pay and contract early. A remote role across borders can be a contract instead of employment, and some crypto companies pay part of the salary in stablecoins. Listings rarely state either, although pay itself is more often published: 377 of the 924 remote listings (41%) showed a salary range in October 2026. The ranges that exist are on web3 salaries.
Let new listings come to you. A free job alert, one of the features for candidates, emails new matches once a day when you save it with the remote filter and your skills.
"Practically no job board clearly states country restrictions, and I want that to become the new industry standard. Web3 is mainly remote, and it is important not to waste time on applications where we would be rejected automatically because we do not live in certain areas or do not speak certain languages. As a translator and writer, I once even got as far as the testing stage before the recruiter, evidently not paying attention, rejected me because I did not know Chinese: the whole process was in English, and nowhere did it say that Chinese was required."
Do remote web3 jobs pay in crypto?
Listings rarely say. Ask before the offer how much of the pay is cash, stablecoin and tokens, and when tokens vest.
Can I get a remote web3 internship?
They are rare: 5 of the 66 internships are remote. Junior roles are remote more often, 26 of 82. The entry-level guide covers what those roles ask for.
